Individual Therapy

Who I Work With

My clients tend to be Asian and Asian Americans professionals, creatives, activists who despite being "highly functioning" have an internal world that is haunted by the past and present. They often feel unsatisfied, burdened, insecure, resentful, angry and, at times, overcome with emotions. And, they are committed to healing, exploration, and growth.

What is it like to work with me?

In our sessions, I pay close attention to what you share and how you share. It's not just who you are but what has happened to you, in what context, and what meaning you derive from it. I ask questions. I facilitate a process of intellectual, emotional, somatic (body) inquiry into yourself to help promote reflection, healing, and growth.  


My style is warm, curious, engaged, and collaborative. You will feel both supported by me and, at times, a little challenged by me.  


I find that regular meetings with clients is most useful. I see clients weekly at a set time for a 50 minute appointment.  

Online Therapy

Why Consider Online Therapy?

  • You live somewhere that doesn’t have many options for culturally informed therapists
  • You travel a lot and not able to make consistent appointments in person
  • You live or are in a small “community” and would like a therapist from outside the “community” 
  • Online feels a bit safer to you at this time

Does online therapy work as well as in person therapy?

Studies suggest that online therapy is just as effective as in person therapy but online therapy is still in its infancy. 


There are circumstances and conditions in which we would not recommend online therapy. We can discuss your particular situation in a phone consultation. 

How does online therapy work?

Similar to an in person therapy session, we schedule a 50 min appointment at a set time and use encrypted video technology to communicate.  


Due to state regulations, I am only able to offer online therapy for those who reside in California and Oregon.

What do you need to make online therapy work

  • Stable internet connection 
  • A computer, tablet or smart phone with video capabilities
  • A private space where you can talk comfortably and without interruptions
